Bormeh International Co., Ltd., a renowned Taiwanese company that imports world-class high-end medical devices and aesthetic equipment, has launched the “Dim Light Shelter Project” in collaboration with the Taiwan Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology. This initiative calls on dermatologists across Taiwan to provide free clinics for children aged 0-17 with facial birthmarks, offering care and shelter to those in need in society.
Hu Siyuan, General Manager of Bormeh International Co., Ltd., stated that approximately 4,000 newborns in Taiwan face facial birthmark issues each year. By introducing advanced equipment and technology, and leveraging the excellent clinical expertise of top physicians, Bormeh aims to help adolescents and newborns solve these problems. This also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Dr. Zheng Guoliang of Libaode Xinyi Dermatology Clinic noted that through the public welfare event co-organized by Bormeh and the Taiwan Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology, children born with birthmarks—including pigmented and vascular birthmarks—can benefit from new aesthetic technologies that are faster and more effective, preventing appearance-related obstacles after puberty. Dr. Lin Shangli of Shangli Aesthetic Dermatology Clinic mentioned that facial birthmarks significantly impact a person’s self-confidence from a young age. Being able to address these issues through appropriate, effective, and safe methods greatly benefits children’s growth process.
In Taiwan, hundreds of newborns are born with birthmarks each year, some of which are dark spots caused by excessive proliferation of melanocytes. Bormeh has introduced the CyanLight new generation vascular laser and the Platinum Honeycomb PicoSure, which offer safer and more effective treatment for melanin with shorter recovery times.
Dr. Zheng Guoliang explained that the CyanLight is a new generation vascular laser with 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths. Unlike past vascular lasers that used a single wavelength with weaker effects, the CyanLight combines dual wavelengths to achieve maximum efficacy in one session. It features artificial intelligence with the latest technology and an advanced cooling system, making it the best choice for treating all vascular conditions.
Dr. Lin Shangli elaborated that the Platinum Honeycomb PicoSure is the most unique among current picosecond lasers due to its special 755nm wavelength. This wavelength is highly efficient in treating melanin issues and, unlike past technologies, greatly reduces adverse reactions and shortens recovery time. When applied to birthmark treatment, it offers better economic benefits and outcomes.
