A 52-year-old Latina influencer died after undergoing a cosmetic procedure at an illegal clinic in Bogotá, Colombia. Hours after entering the clinic, she was seen leaving in a vehicle with three individuals heading to a medical center where she later passed away.
Adriana Manotas Rodríguez, a Colombian content creator with thousands of social media followers, died on July 10 after undergoing an aesthetic procedure. She entered the beauty clinic around 6 a.m. and left approximately four hours later, according to local media reports from Blu Radio and Noticias Caracol. Surveillance footage captured her being transported in a vehicle alongside three individuals. Reports indicate she was taken to a nearby health facility where she subsequently died.
Details revealed by the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office confirm that the influencer had visited the beauty clinic for a liposuction procedure. Local media reported that the clinic was not registered as a health facility, citing Colombia’s Health and Government Secretariats.
Following Adriana’s death, Colombia’s Health Secretariat, the Attorney General’s Office, and the National Police conducted a raid on the alleged beauty clinic, during which they found evidence that medical procedures were being performed at the establishment.
The Health Secretariat also stated that it had previously inspected the establishment in November. Following that visit, health and safety measures were imposed on the facility, detailing that the doctor providing health services did not have the necessary license to offer procedures.
