【Goa, India】Hugel’s Botulinum Toxin ‘Letybo’ Officially Enters India Market

Editor’s Note

**Editor’s Note:** Hugel expands its global footprint with Letybo’s entry into India, targeting the world’s largest population and a fast-growing aesthetic medical market.

Targeting the World’s Largest Population and High-Growth Aesthetic Medical Market

Hugel Co., Ltd., a global total medical aesthetics company, announced the official entry of its botulinum toxin product ‘Letybo’ into the Indian market by participating in the Global Aesthetics Summit (GAS) held from the 19th to the 21st at the Taj Horizon in Goa, India.

“India is a market with high preference and interest in K-aesthetics. We plan to actively leverage Hugel’s strength as the No. 1 toxin in Korea for 10 consecutive years to drive marketing,” said Jang Doo-hyun, CEO of Hugel. “We will lead the expansion of the Indian market and secure new global growth engines.”

According to the company, India has the world’s largest population (approximately 1.5 billion) and a rapidly growing middle class, leading to steadily increasing demand for aesthetic medical services. However, the botulinum toxin procedure rate remains low relative to the total population, making it a market with high growth potential. Hugel aims to achieve a 9% market share in the Indian aesthetic market this year and accelerate its early market establishment.

Academic Exchange and KOL Network Building

At the GAS conference, Hugel, together with its local distributor Aakaar Medical, focused on building brand awareness and establishing a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network. Benjamin Chan, an Australian KOL who participated as a speaker, highlighted the product’s differentiation by introducing the predictable treatment outcomes achieved through Letybo’s ‘Narrow Diffusion’ property.

Hugel plans to sequentially hold separate launch events and hands-on workshops with its local distributor until the 24th. The company also intends to continue expanding academic exchanges with KOLs and solidify its brand position in the Indian market. Through this strategy, Hugel aims to leverage India as a base to expand into the Asia-Pacific region and further strengthen Letybo’s presence in the global market.
