[TheBio, Reporter Jin Yoo-jung] Huons Group affiliates Humedix and Huons Biopharma announced on the 20th that they held a ‘Hutox’ launch symposium on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
This symposium was organized by Huons Biopharma’s local Chinese partner, IMeik Technology (hereinafter ‘IMeik’), featuring the official product launch announcement along with an academic exchange program.
Humedix and Huons Biopharma stated that through this symposium, they expanded contact points with local Chinese medical professionals and industry stakeholders, aiming to enhance Hutox’s global recognition. At the event, Dr. Kim Gun-woo, director of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic, participated as a speaker and delivered a lecture on Hutox. Dr. Kim shared global trends in the use of botulinum toxin, directions for clinical application, and product management know-how.
Hutox is a cosmetic and therapeutic pharmaceutical product with botulinum toxin as its main ingredient. It is primarily used for improving frown lines and crow’s feet.
IMeik secured exclusive import and distribution rights for botulinum toxin products in the Chinese region (including Macau and Hong Kong) from Huons Biopharma in 2022. Subsequently, in January of this year, it received product approval from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for Hutox.
Humedix emphasized that it supported the symposium by leveraging its domestic medical professional network to invite speakers and facilitate communication for the academic event. A Huons Group official stated:
