[PharmNews = Reporter Kim Eung-min] Huons Group’s Huons Meditech and Huons BioPharma announced on the 20th that they held a launch symposium for the botulinum toxin ‘Hutox’ on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
The symposium was organized by iMaker Technology (hereinafter ‘iMaker’), Huons BioPharma’s local partner in China, and included the official launch announcement of ‘Hutox’ along with an academic exchange program. Huons Meditech and Huons BioPharma focused on strengthening communication with local medical professionals and industry stakeholders in China, as well as raising the local awareness of ‘Hutox’.
At the event, Dr. Kim Gun-woo, Director of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic, participated as a speaker and delivered a lecture on ‘Hutox’. Dr. Kim shared global trends in botulinum toxin utilization, practical clinical application directions, and product operational know-how.
‘Hutox’ is a pharmaceutical product containing botulinum toxin as its main ingredient, with indications for improving glabellar lines and crow’s feet.
Huons BioPharma signed an exclusive import and distribution agreement for ‘Hutox’ in the China region (including Macau and Hong Kong) with iMaker in 2022, and obtained product approval from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in January of this year.
At this event, Huons Meditech leveraged its domestic medical professional network to support speaker invitations and academic communication.
