**Editor’s Note:** Huons Group is accelerating its expansion into China with its botulinum toxin product Hutox, hosting a launch symposium in Hangzhou that featured a lecture by Dr. Kim Gun-woo and drew local medical professionals.

Huons Group is intensifying its push into the Chinese market with its botulinum toxin product ‘Hutox’. Huons Group subsidiaries HuMeds (CEO Kang Min-jong) and Huons BioPharma (CEO Lee Jung-hee) announced on the 20th that they held the ‘Hutox’ Launch Symposium at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on the 16th.
The symposium was organized by Huons BioPharma’s local Chinese partner, IMeik Technology, and featured the official launch announcement of the botulinum toxin product ‘Hutox’ along with an academic exchange program.
Through the symposium, HuMeds and Huons BioPharma aimed to expand contact points with local Chinese medical professionals and industry stakeholders, while enhancing the global recognition of Hutox.
Dr. Kim Gun-woo of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic served as a speaker at the symposium, sharing insights on global trends in botulinum toxin utilization, practical clinical application directions, and product management know-how.
Hutox is a cosmetic and therapeutic pharmaceutical product whose main ingredient is botulinum toxin, used for improving glabellar lines and crow’s feet.
In 2022, IMeik secured exclusive import and distribution rights for the botulinum toxin product in the Chinese region (including Macau and Hong Kong) from Huons BioPharma. In January of this year, Hutox received product approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
