Huons Group has officially begun targeting the Chinese market with its botulinum toxin product ‘HUTOX’.
Huons Group subsidiaries HuMeds (CEO Kang Min-jong) and Huons BioPharma (CEO Lee Jung-hee) announced on the 20th that they held the ‘HUTOX Launch Symposium’ on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
The event was hosted by IMeik Technology, Huons BioPharma’s local partner in China, and featured the official launch announcement of HUTOX along with an academic exchange program for Chinese medical professionals and industry stakeholders.
At the symposium, Dr. Kim Gun-woo, director of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic, served as a speaker, introducing global trends in botulinum toxin utilization, clinical application cases, and product operational know-how. Dr. Kim shared insights on the practical use of HUTOX in medical settings and its competitiveness in the global market.
HUTOX is a cosmetic and therapeutic pharmaceutical product with botulinum toxin as its main ingredient, used for improving glabellar lines and crow’s feet.
IMeik signed an exclusive import and distribution agreement with Huons BioPharma in 2022 for the Chinese region (including Hong Kong and Macau), and obtained product approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in January of this year.
At this event, HuMeds leveraged its domestic medical professional network to support speaker recruitment and academic event operations, backing HUTOX’s entry into China.
