Panasonic Launches Lamdash Palm-In PRO with 6 Blades, Priced Over ¥80,000; Targets 1.5x Growth in Men’s Beauty by FY2030
Panasonic will launch the Lamdash Palm-In PRO with 6 blades, along with the fully automatic cleaning and charging station “Palm-In Pod.”
On July 23, Panasonic announced a new model of its palm-sized electric shaver, the “Lamdash Palm-In.” The company will release the first Palm-In models equipped with 6 blades — “ES-P690U,” “ES-P680U,” and “ES-P650U” — in early September, aiming to strengthen its men’s beauty segment.
The body of the P690U and P680U models is crafted from high-quality machined aluminum, featuring a “METAL EDITION” finish. The P650U uses Mitsui Chemicals’ composite material “NAGORI,” derived from mineral components found in seawater.
Estimated market prices (including tax) are: approximately ¥84,000 for the P690U with the Palm-In Pod, approximately ¥75,000 for the P680U (Pod sold separately), and approximately ¥54,000 for the P650U.
Panasonic has unified its men’s beauty products — including the body trimmer launched in June and the hair cutter scheduled for release — under the “Lamdash” series. The company is also considering expanding into non-home appliance areas such as cosmetics and skincare in the future. Masaharu Nakamura, General Manager of the Beauty & Personal Care Business Division, stated:
Panasonic targets expanding the global business scale (including Japan) to 1.5 times the FY2025 level by FY2030.
