**Editor’s Note:** This article explores the growing role of AI agents in aesthetic medicine, highlighting a recent partnership between Medipal and the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to streamline hospital operations and patient care.
Medical AI is expanding beyond diagnostic assistance to the stage of ‘AI agents’ that support overall hospital operations. As demand grows for automating patient consultations, appointments, follow-up care, and administrative tasks, the development of AI services that reflect feedback from the medical field is also becoming active.
Medical AI startup Medipal has signed a business agreement with the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Laser Medicine to supply AI agent services specialized for hospitals and clinics.

The Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Laser Medicine is the largest professional society in the field of aesthetic medicine in Korea, with approximately 15,000 active physician members. It is a leading academic organization that shares the latest medical technologies and clinical experiences, centered around medical professionals in plastic surgery and dermatology.
Under this agreement, Medipal plans to expand the distribution of its AI agent platform, ‘Medipal AI,’ to hospitals and clinics that are members of the society. At the same time, it will continuously enhance its AI services in cooperation with the society to incorporate features needed in the actual work environments of medical professionals.
To this end, five key executives from the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Laser Medicine will participate as Medipal’s advisory board. The advisory board will play a role in enhancing the usability of the AI agent by conveying actual requirements and suggestions for improvement arising during the operation of hospitals and clinics.
Medipal is supporting the AI transformation (AX) of medical institutions through its AI patient management solution ‘Afterdoc’ and its hospital and clinic AI agent platform ‘Medipal AI’.
Currently, more than 500 hospitals and clinics have adopted Medipal services, and the company provides services to over 3 million patients. Based on over 30 million consultation data points, the company operates an AI service that supports consultations, patient management, and hospital operations.
