The Korea Beauty Industry Trade Association (KOBITA), the Korea Cosmetic OEM Council, and Hankyung.com announced on the 24th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster professional talent in the cosmetics industry and create youth employment opportunities.
This agreement aims to alleviate the labor shortage across the entire K-Beauty industry, encompassing not only cosmetics manufacturing, quality control, and R&D but also global marketing, trade, and distribution. Under the MOU, the organizations will collaborate from the initial stages of preparing government-supported projects, including planning educational programs and conducting field demand surveys.

“As the K-Beauty industry grows, it has become crucial to supply tailored talent for each job role needed in the field in a timely manner,” stated Shin Myung-soo, Head of the Education Center at Hankyung.com. “We will work closely with the association to systematically nurture talent that contributes to the development of the cosmetics industry.”
