【South Korea】The Founders’ ‘ANUA’ Wins 100 Japanese Beauty Awards, Proving Its Status as a Leading K-Skincare Brand

Editor’s Note

ANUA has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 100 cumulative wins at Japan’s Best Cosmetic Awards, underscoring its strong foothold in a competitive market. Rather than relying on a single hero product, the brand’s balanced skincare lineup drove this success, with its top four award-winning items collectively selling over 30.27 million units globally in the first half of this year.

The Founders’ skincare brand ANUA has surpassed 100 cumulative wins at Japan’s prestigious Best Cosmetic Awards, demonstrating its rapid growth in the notoriously demanding Japanese market. The brand achieved this success not by relying on a single hit product, but through the balanced performance of its entire skincare lineup. The top four award-winning products have accumulated global sales of over 30.27 million units in the first half of this year.

Award Milestone and Market Impact

According to The Founders on the 23rd, from November 2023 to June this year, ANUA accumulated over 100 award wins from major Japanese beauty media and e-commerce platforms. Notably, the brand added 37 awards in the first half of this year alone, showcasing its overwhelming brand influence in the local market.

The significance of ANUA’s achievement lies in the fact that its entire skincare lineup has successfully settled in the local market, rather than relying on the fleeting popularity of a single item or a one-time trend.

Top Award-Winning Products

The most awarded product is the ‘PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum,’ which secured first place in major Japanese beauty awards such as VOCE, Biteki, Rakuten, and WWD, achieving 19 individual awards. Following this, the ‘PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum Mask’ and ‘Azelaic Acid 15 Intense Calming Serum’ each won 10 awards, while the ‘Vita 10 Pore StriX Whitening Toning Serum’ received 9 awards, collectively recognizing the product strength of the entire skincare lineup.

Sales Performance and Market Dominance

Sales growth has also been steep. During Amazon Japan’s Prime Day event earlier this month, ANUA’s sales surged 207% compared to the previous quarter. In the fiercely competitive serum category, ANUA products achieved a remarkable feat by monopolizing the top three rankings.

Company Statement
“Our differentiated product capabilities based on trend analysis and proven skin improvement efficacy have led to strong trust from Japanese consumers,” an ANUA official emphasized. “We will continue to consistently introduce excellent products that practically solve the skin concerns of global consumers through thorough quality management.”
