Hugel

Hugel Launches ‘TheChum Signature’ HA Filler with Enhanced Safety
Hugel announced on the 20th the launch of ‘TheChum Signature’, a new hyaluronic acid (HA) filler product that enhances safety by minimizing the use of crosslinking agents.
‘TheChum Signature’ is a product line that embodies Hugel’s R&D achievements aimed at advancing the competitiveness of its HA filler lineup. It consists of four products with a broad spectrum of physical properties, allowing medical professionals to choose according to the treatment area and purpose.
HA fillers undergo a crosslinking process to maintain hyaluronic acid, which is easily broken down in the body, in a stable gel form. TheChum Signature applies the ‘MPC (Multi Purified Crosslinking) method’, a proprietary technology of its affiliate ‘Across’. The company explains that this method reduces the amount of crosslinking agent used by over 50% compared to conventional manufacturing processes, while maximizing crosslinking efficiency through a special process using high-concentration HA raw materials.
Furthermore, through a multi-purification process lasting approximately two weeks—longer than standard manufacturing processes—it significantly reduces residual crosslinking agent (BDDE) as well as micro-hydrolysis byproducts (BDPE) that can arise from the crosslinking stage, thereby enhancing safety and quality. The company emphasized that despite minimizing the use of crosslinking agents, the existing advantages of firm physical properties and durability are maintained.

“Based on extensive R&D and accumulated technological expertise, Hugel, which has established a solid position in the HA filler field, has launched a differentiated new product applying its proprietary MPC method,” said Jang Doo-hyun, CEO of Hugel. He added, “We will continue to strengthen product competitiveness and safety, and further build trust with both medical professionals and consumers.”

Meanwhile, in addition to ‘TheChum Signature’, Hugel also offers a high-quality HA filler product range, including four types of ‘TheChum Premium’ specialized for volumizing and one type of large-volume body filler ‘TheChum Shape’.

Medytox

Medytox Holds First Event of New Academic Education Program ‘MAP’
Medytox (CEO Jung Hyun-ho) announced on the 20th that it successfully held the first event of its new academic education program ‘MAP (Medytox Academy of Precision)’, the ‘MAP Institute CORE Live Seminar’.
‘MAP’ is Medytox’s new integrated academic education program, which conducts various academic events according to educational purposes and the capabilities of medical professionals. The ‘MAP Institute CORE Live Seminar’ is an educational program focused on enhancing understanding of Medytox products and strengthening basic procedural skills. It is reported that around 30 domestic medical professionals attended this event.
On the day, Director Hong Ki-woong of Samskin Plastic Surgery Clinic introduced the rheological characteristics of the hyaluronic acid (HA) filler ‘Neuraxis’ series and attracted attention by conducting a live demonstration of mid-face and nasolabial fold treatments using ‘Neuraxis Deep Lidocaine’ and ‘Volume Lidocaine’.

“We launched ‘MAP’, which systematically organizes step-by-step and purpose-specific educational courses to provide practically helpful education in the medical field and establish a proper treatment culture,” emphasized a Medytox official. “Starting with this event, we will fully operate ‘MAP’ and run academic education programs encompassing various products and treatment areas, such as webinars, forums, and symposiums.”

Meanwhile, Neuraxis is a hyaluronic acid filler that applies Medytox’s proprietary ‘SHAPE™ Technology’ and reduces the potential for side effects by lowering the residual amount of crosslinking agent (BDDE) to below standard levels. It uses hyaluronic acid raw materials registered with the US FDA Drug Master Files (DMFs) and certified by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM).
