Wontech’s Pastelle Pro has received TFDA approval in Taiwan for expanded indications, now covering pigment and vascular lesion treatments alongside soft tissue procedures.
Wontech (CEO Kim Jong-won and Kim Jung-hyun), a laser and energy-based medical solutions company, announced on the 22nd that it has obtained medical device certification for Pastelle Pro in Taiwan, expanding its product lineup.
Taiwan’s health authority (TFDA) has approved Pastelle Pro for non-invasive soft tissue procedures including incision, excision, tissue removal, vaporization, coagulation, and hemostasis, as well as for treating pigmented and vascular lesions, tattoo removal, and hair removal.
The ability to address a wide range of indications is supported by laser technology that operates at two wavelengths: 532nm and 1064nm. Pastelle Pro can be used not only for aesthetic skin treatments but also for various soft tissue procedures. Its specially designed handpiece allows precise control of spot size, depth, and energy density, enabling flexible clinical application across multiple indications.
With this approval, Wontech has expanded its portfolio in Taiwan to include laser devices alongside its existing RF and HIFU equipment. In the medical aesthetics market, hospitals and clinics often operate multiple energy-based devices for various treatment purposes. The company plans to strengthen its strategy of providing integrated solutions to local medical institutions by broadening its product range.
Taiwan’s non-invasive aesthetic treatment market is active, driven by high medical standards and strong demand for medical aesthetics. The market for energy-based medical aesthetic devices, including lasers, RF, and HIFU, is expected to grow alongside the increasing demand for non-surgical procedures. According to global market research firm Frost & Sullivan, Taiwan’s medical aesthetics service market reached approximately $2.4 billion last year and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.1% through 2030.
In May, Wontech held its global brand event ‘Wave Taiwan’ in Taiwan, featuring academic lectures and product exhibitions centered on Oligio X, Tightan, Picocare Majesty, and Pico Alex. With the Pastelle Pro approval, the company aims to accelerate its market penetration in Taiwan by expanding its product offerings.
