**Editor’s Note:** Wontech’s Pastelle Pro laser device has secured Taiwan FDA certification, expanding its indications to include soft tissue procedures and treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions. This approval marks a strategic step in broadening the company’s product presence in the Taiwanese market.
Laser and energy-based medical solutions company Wontech Co., Ltd. has obtained Taiwan medical device certification for its laser medical device ‘Pastelle Pro’ and is expanding its local product lineup.
The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) has approved Pastelle Pro for non-invasive soft tissue procedures including incision, excision, tissue removal, vaporization, coagulation, and hemostasis, as well as treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions, tattoo removal, and hair removal.
Pastelle Pro is based on laser technology supporting two wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, enabling applications ranging from aesthetic skin treatments to various soft tissue procedures.
It features a specially designed handpiece that allows precise control of spot size, depth, and energy density, characterized by flexible clinical use across multiple indications.
Taiwan is a region with an active non-invasive aesthetic treatment market, driven by high medical standards and medical aesthetic demand. As demand for non-surgical procedures increases, the market for energy-based medical aesthetic devices such as lasers, RF, and HIFU is also expected to grow.
Global market research firm Frost & Sullivan estimated Taiwan’s medical aesthetic service market at approximately $2.4 billion in 2025, projecting an average annual growth rate of 9.1% through 2030.
In May, Wontech held its global brand event ‘Wave Taiwan’ in Taiwan, featuring academic lectures and product exhibitions centered on Oligio X, Tightan, Picocare Majesty, and Pico Alex.
With this Pastelle Pro certification, the company plans to further broaden its product portfolio in Taiwan and accelerate its push into the local medical aesthetic market.
