This article covers the formal signing of a cooperation agreement between Jinghuatang Industrial Co., Ltd. and Japan’s MedicalBase Co., Ltd. at the Bio Asia exhibition, witnessed by the Biotechnology Development Center and introduced by its Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry Development Promotion Office.
Jinghuatang Industrial Co., Ltd., which has been deeply involved in gold vaporization technology for over 30 years, recently formally signed a cooperation agreement with Japan’s professional medical device distributor MedicalBase Co., Ltd. during the Bio Asia exhibition. The signing was witnessed by the Biotechnology Development Center (DCB) and introduced by its Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry Development Promotion Office (BPIPO). The company announced that its self-developed PVD physical vaporized gold (Vaporized Gold) will be paired with the sixth-generation TDDS gene gun (AuJet), officially entering Japan’s high-end medical aesthetics market. This marks a significant milestone for Taiwan’s self-developed technology on the international stage.
This cooperation is not merely a cross-border business deal; it represents the culmination of Jinghuatang’s years of material R&D, safety validation, and process technology, which have now gained high recognition in the Japanese medical aesthetics market. Jinghuatang stated that the Japanese market has always had stringent requirements for product quality, safety standards, and scientific validation. The successful completion of this cooperation is the result of over two decades of technological accumulation and long-term R&D validation.
In fact, Jinghuatang has historically operated behind the scenes in the industrial chain, serving as a key partner for many well-known domestic pharmaceutical factories, food brands, high-end restaurants, wineries, and supplement brands. From gold leaf food, gold liquor, to high-end pharmaceutical application materials, many of Taiwan’s legal edible gold products, medical devices, and new drug developments have relied on Jinghuatang for raw materials and technical support. However, the company has long operated under a B2B model, so while many consumers recognize “gold leaf,” they are unaware that the supplier behind it is Jinghuatang.
Jinghuatang pointed out that it remains the highest-quality supplier of legal edible gold in Taiwan. For years, it has continuously collaborated with major domestic and international brands and wineries, including Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation, Wei Chuan (Zhàn Jiǔ Black Gold Dragon), and thirteen other international wineries, jointly promoting the Gold Liquor Alliance. Its products have expanded to nine countries, including Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Hungary, South Africa, Chile, and Taiwan, accumulating extensive international cooperation experience.
Beyond food applications, Jinghuatang has extended its semiconductor vacuum vaporization technology to the biotech materials field, independently developing PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) solid-state vaporization technology. This process can re-vaporize 99.99% pure gold ingots while maintaining 99.99% purity in the final vaporized gold product. Particle size can be controlled between 3 to 5 nanometers, and the deposited thin film can range from 30nm to millimeter levels. The entire process is physical, involving no chemical reduction reactions, making it a core technology representative of pharmaceutical development.
Jinghuatang noted that as early as 2002, it partnered with the DCB to conduct safety and related research following new drug development standards. Subsequently, it completed preclinical testing, including comprehensive toxicology, safety evaluation, and pharmacological studies, and has published 13 SCI international journal papers. In 2025, its vaporized gold leaf also received the SNQ National Quality Mark, an important milestone in the brand’s continuous commitment to quality.
Jinghuatang stated that this cooperation, introduced by DCB BPIPO, witnessed by DCB, and signed with Japan’s MedicalBase, represents not just an international partnership but the formal entry of over two decades of gold technology achievements into Japan’s high-end medical market. It also demonstrates the international competitiveness of Taiwan’s self-developed technology.
