Uijeongbu City is accelerating its transformation into a future industrial city by fostering growth alongside enterprises, particularly through the completion of a new factory for medical device company Cimedtech in Yonghyeon Industrial Complex.
The Yonghyeon Industrial Complex in Uijeongbu is taking a significant step toward becoming a core hub for the medical device industry, following the completion of a new factory by Cimedtech, a specialized medical device company.
Given that the bio and medical device sectors are high-tech industries with strong future growth potential, the expansion of Cimedtech’s production base is expected to serve as a meaningful foundation for Uijeongbu’s leap as a future industrial hub.
According to Uijeongbu City on the 21st, Mayor Kim Won-ki attended the completion ceremony for Cimedtech’s new factory (Building D) at Yonghyeon Industrial Complex the previous day. He stated:

Founded in 1997, Cimedtech has grown based on its expertise in orthopedic implants and has gained global competitiveness as a medical device company. Recently, leveraging its accumulated precision metal processing technology, the company has entered the dental implant field and expanded into human tissue processing and energy-based aesthetic medical device (EBD) businesses, continuing its growth trajectory.
Having established roots in Uijeongbu from the early stages of the Yonghyeon Industrial Complex development, Cimedtech has become a representative medical device company in the city, driving local economic and industrial growth. The newly completed factory is designed to significantly expand orthopedic implant production capacity with advanced manufacturing facilities, while strengthening R&D and manufacturing competitiveness.
Through this, the company plans to enhance the efficiency and quality competitiveness of orthopedic implant production. Additionally, the existing production space freed up by the new factory will be repurposed for dental implant production, further improving production efficiency. The expansion is also expected to play a crucial role in accelerating the global market entry of the company’s medical device business.
The city views this factory completion as more than just an expansion of production facilities—it is an opportunity to inject new vitality into the local economy. Continuous corporate investment leads to the creation of quality jobs, the growth of partner companies, and the strengthening of the regional industrial ecosystem, forming a virtuous cycle for the local economy.
