【Uijeongbu, S】Uijeongbu City Celebrates Completion of CJ Medtech’s New Factory, Strengthening Future Medical Device Industry Competitiveness

CJ Medtech held a completion ceremony for its new factory (Building D) in Yonghyeon Industrial Complex on the 20th, with Uijeongbu City officials attending to celebrate the company’s new leap forward and express support for creating a business-friendly industrial environment.
Approximately 100 people attended the ceremony, including Mayor Kim Won-ki, CEO Yoo Hyun-seung, executives and employees, as well as representatives from related organizations and businesses.
CJ Medtech is a medical device specialist that grew on the foundation of orthopedic implants. Recently, it has expanded its business scope to include dental implants, human tissue processing, and energy-based aesthetic medical devices (EBD), strengthening its global competitiveness.
The new factory is equipped with advanced production facilities to enhance orthopedic implant production capacity and R&D competitiveness. Existing production facilities will be repurposed for dental implant production, further improving production efficiency.
Uijeongbu City expects the completion of this new factory to have positive effects on the development of the industrial ecosystem, including strengthening corporate competitiveness, revitalizing the local economy, creating quality jobs, and fostering mutual growth with partner companies.
In particular, the city plans to foster the bio and medical device industry as a future growth engine, strengthening the foundation for a future industrial city linked to AI and advanced manufacturing industries.
The city will continue to actively listen to corporate challenges, provide swift administrative support, and create a business-friendly environment to support the sustained growth of local companies and attract new investments.
