Based on this background, Lively Clinic has introduced the medical laser device “ADVATx Laser.” To allow more people to consider the treatment, we have decided to launch this first-time limited campaign.
The ADVATx Laser is a medical laser device equipped with two wavelengths: 589nm (yellow light) and 1319nm (infrared light). It has obtained FDA 510(k) clearance in the United States and is recognized as a medical device with proven usage overseas. The device adopts a design combining “soft pulsing,” which divides energy into multiple pulses, and “fractional irradiation,” which irradiates parts of the skin. At Lively Clinic, treatment plans are proposed under physician consultation based on each patient’s condition and preferences.

• Indication of unapproved status: The ADVATx Laser used in this treatment is an unapproved medical device under the Japanese Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act (PMD Act).
• Procurement route: Under the judgment of our clinic’s physician, the device manufactured by Advalight (Denmark) has been introduced through formal import procedures. For risks related to personal importation, please refer to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s guidance on “Medicines to be cautious about in personal importation.”
• Domestic equivalent approved products: There are no approved medical devices with identical performance in Japan.
• Safety information in other countries: The ADVATx Laser is a medical device approved by the U.S. FDA. However, it has not obtained approval under the Japanese PMD Act. Additionally, since serious adverse event reporting is not mandatory in Japan, unforeseen risks may exist. Our clinic provides thorough explanations of risks and side effects (redness, heat sensation, swelling, dryness, etc.) during pre-treatment counseling.
