【South Korea】Bioviz Surges on Full-Scale US Medical Cosmetic Push, Skin Booster Competitiveness Highlighted

Editor’s Note

**Editor’s Note:** Bioviz shares surged nearly 9% on the 21st, driven by the company’s accelerated push into the North American market and its medical cosmetic brand strategy.

Stock Movement

As of 3:02 PM on the 21st, Bioviz was trading at 6,820 won, up 560 won (8.95%) from the previous day.

US Market Entry and Medical Cosmetic Brand

Bioviz is accelerating its North American market strategy, starting with the entry of its medical cosmetic brand CANDORLOV (CDL) into US pharmacy chains. CANDORLOV is a medical cosmetic brand offering a basic skincare lineup including mask packs, serums, ampoules, toner pads, mists, and creams.

The US is emerging as the biggest battleground for K-beauty. Since the US surpassed China as the largest export destination for Korean cosmetics last year, local demand has been steadily increasing. Bioviz is actively responding to these market changes by expanding both online and offline distribution channels.

Skin Booster Business and Product Portfolio

The company is also securing growth engines for its medical aesthetic business. Recently, Bioviz strengthened its product portfolio by securing exclusive domestic distribution rights for ‘Cellivion’, an ECM (Extracellular Matrix) skin booster brand based on Acellular Dermal Matrix (hADM). ECM-based skin boosters are gaining significant market attention as next-generation aesthetic products for skin regeneration and elasticity improvement.

The filler brand COLENA is also considered a key growth axis. Having obtained domestic product approval in March, it has laid the foundation for expanded OEM production. It is expected that obtaining European CE certification and Chinese NMPA certification in the future will further expand its global market reach.

Company Profile and Future Strategy

Bioviz is a medical aesthetic company specializing in the R&D and production of skin boosters and fillers using Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and various biomaterials. Its annual production capacity is approximately 2.64 million units, which is expected to expand to 8.64 million units upon completion of its second factory.

The company is currently supplying products to over 10 countries, including China, with a focus on overseas markets. Its strategy of expanding sales channels to North America and global markets based on its established distribution network in China is evaluated as a key growth driver.

Bioviz plans to further strengthen its growth foundation in the global medical aesthetic market by developing new products and diversifying its portfolio using next-generation biomaterials such as Lipid Nanoparticles (LNP) and exosomes.
