Jinghuatang Industrial Co., Ltd., a company with over 30 years of expertise in gold vaporization technology, officially signed a cooperation agreement with Japan’s professional medical device distributor, MedicalBase Co., Ltd., during the recent Asia BioTech Expo. Facilitated by the BioPharma Industry Promotion Office (BPIPO) of the Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), the partnership marks the official entry of Jinghuatang’s self-developed PVD physical vaporized gold (Vaporized Gold), combined with the TDDS 6th Generation Gene Gun (AuJet), into Japan’s high-end aesthetic medicine market. This milestone signifies a major step for Taiwan’s independently developed technology on the international stage.
This collaboration is not merely a cross-border business deal; it represents the recognition of Jinghuatang’s years of accumulated material research, safety validation, and process technology by the demanding Japanese aesthetic medicine market. Jinghuatang stated that the Japanese market has always imposed strict requirements on product quality, safety standards, and scientific validation. The successful completion of this partnership is the result of over two decades of technological accumulation and long-term R&D validation.
Historically, Jinghuatang has operated at the backend of the industry chain, serving as a key partner for many well-known domestic pharmaceutical companies, food brands, high-end restaurants, distilleries, and skincare brands. From gold leaf food products and gold-infused liquor to high-end pharmaceutical application materials, many legally sold edible gold products, medical devices, and new drug developments in Taiwan have relied on Jinghuatang for raw materials and technical support. However, operating under a B2B model for years, most consumers recognize ‘gold leaf’ but are unaware that Jinghuatang is the supplier behind it.
Jinghuatang pointed out that it remains the highest-quality supplier of legal edible gold in Taiwan. For years, it has consistently met the demands of major domestic and international brands and distilleries, including Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation, Vedan (Zhanjiu Black Gold Dragon), and 13 other distilleries abroad, jointly promoting the Gold Liquor Alliance. Its products have expanded to nine countries, including Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Hungary, South Africa, Chile, and Taiwan, building extensive international cooperation experience.
Beyond food applications, Jinghuatang has extended its semiconductor vacuum vaporization technology into the biomaterials field. It has independently developed PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) solid-state sublimation technology, capable of processing 99.99% pure gold ingots into vaporized gold products that maintain 99.99% purity. The particle size can be controlled to 3-5 nanometers, and the deposited film can range from 30nm to millimeter levels. The entire process is physical, involving no chemical reduction reactions, making it the most representative core technology for pharmaceutical development.
Jinghuatang stated that as early as 2002, it partnered with the Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB) to conduct safety and related research following new drug development specifications. Subsequently, it completed preclinical testing, including comprehensive toxicology, safety evaluation, and pharmacological studies, resulting in the publication of 13 SCI international journal papers. In 2025, its vaporized gold foil received the SNQ National Quality Mark, a significant milestone in the brand’s continuous commitment to quality.
Jinghuatang stated that this collaboration, introduced by DCB BPIPO, witnessed by DCB, and signed with Japan’s MedicalBase, represents not just an international partnership but the formal entry of over two decades of accumulated gold technology achievements into Japan’s high-end medical market, showcasing the international competitiveness of Taiwan’s independently developed technology.
