The Yongin Industry Promotion Agency, in partnership with KOTRA, hosted the 2026 Yongin Special City Y-Trade Export Consultation Meeting on the 15th, connecting 43 local SMEs with 10 Singaporean buyers to boost export opportunities in consumer goods.
The Yongin Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 18th that it jointly hosted the ‘2026 Yongin Special City Y-Trade Export Consultation Meeting’ with the KOTRA Gyeonggi Support Headquarters, inviting local buyers from Singapore.
Held on the 15th at the Small Business & Startup Hub, the meeting saw participation from 43 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Yongin, specializing in comprehensive consumer goods such as cosmetics, beauty devices, food, and pet supplies, along with 10 Singaporean buyers.
A total of 65 export consultations took place, resulting in $2.37 million in consultation value and $1.13 million in contract promotion value, according to the agency.
Participating companies explored opportunities for entering the Singapore market and developing new sales channels through customized matching that pre-analyzed product characteristics and buyer demands.
The event also featured a ‘Singapore Market Entry Strategy Briefing’ by a KOTRA Singapore Trade Center official, covering local market characteristics, consumer trends, distribution structures, and market entry strategies.
Additionally, customized export mentoring involving Suwon Customs and Yongin City export mentors provided expert consultations on customs clearance, certifications, and export procedures necessary for overseas market entry.
