**Editor’s Note:** Hugel has introduced TheCharm Signature, a new HA filler formulated with reduced crosslinking agents, aiming to enhance safety and performance in aesthetic treatments.
Hugel (230,000 won ▼ 9,500 -3.97%) announced on the 20th the launch of a new hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, ‘TheCharm Signature’, which uses reduced crosslinking agents.
TheCharm Signature is available in four variants with different physical properties, allowing selection based on the treatment area and purpose. HA fillers undergo a crosslinking process to maintain hyaluronic acid in a stable gel form. Hugel stated that by applying the ‘MPC (Multi Purified Crosslinking)’ technology from its affiliate Across, it reduced the amount of crosslinking agent used by over 50% compared to conventional manufacturing processes. The company explained that the process uses high-concentration HA raw materials to maintain the physical properties and longevity of existing products. Additionally, a multi-purification process lasting approximately two weeks reduces residual crosslinking agent (BDDE) and byproducts (BDPE) that may form during crosslinking.
