Hugel has launched four new hyaluronic acid (HA) filler products, ‘TheChaeum Signature’, with enhanced safety features.

Hugel released its new hyaluronic acid (HA) filler product ‘TheChaeum Signature’ on the 20th. The new product line consists of four types, each tailored to the physical properties of different treatment areas. A key feature is a change in the crosslinking process that maintains rapidly degrading hyaluronic acid in a gel form.
Hugel explained that it has introduced the ‘MPC (Multi Purified Crosslinking) method’ from its affiliate, Across, into the manufacturing process. This has reduced the use of crosslinking agents by more than 50% compared to existing product processes, and the crosslinking efficiency is controlled through a special process using high-concentration HA raw materials.
The company stated that by applying a multi-step purification process over approximately two weeks during production, it has also lowered levels of residual crosslinking agent (BDDE) and micro-hydrolysis byproducts (BDPE) derived from the crosslinking step. It added that while the amount of crosslinking agent has been reduced, the physical properties and duration of the existing ‘TheChaeum Premium’ product line have been maintained.
Currently, Hugel’s HA filler lineup includes the new product, four types of ‘TheChaeum Premium’ for volumizing, and one type of ‘TheChaeum Shape’ for body treatments.
