Medytox Launches New Academic Platform ‘MAP’

Medytox is strengthening the professionalism of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler technique training by launching a new academic education platform aimed at systematically enhancing the procedural capabilities of medical professionals. The strategy is to build a medical ecosystem that improves safety and procedural completeness by expanding precision procedure training based on product development technology and clinical data.

Medytox held the first event of its new integrated academic education program ‘MAP (Medytox Academy of Precision)’, the ‘MAP Institute CORE Live Seminar’. MAP is an academic platform that provides step-by-step education according to the proficiency and educational goals of medical staff, operating as a systematic educational program that connects product understanding to actual clinical application.

At the first event, with approximately 30 domestic medical professionals in attendance, lectures and live procedures were conducted using the hyaluronic acid fillers ‘NEURAMIS Deep Lidocaine’ and ‘Volume Lidocaine’. The training focused on mid-face volume improvement and nasolabial fold correction procedures, sharing anatomical approaches, procedural strategies, and clinical know-how for preventing side effects.

Focus on NEURAMIS Physicochemical Properties

In particular, this training intensively introduced the physicochemical properties of NEURAMIS. For hyaluronic acid fillers, physical properties such as viscoelasticity, cohesivity, and elasticity (G’) are key factors determining procedural outcomes. Selecting a product with appropriate physical properties according to the treatment area and purpose is essential for achieving natural volume formation and longevity, and also affects tissue compatibility and safety.

NEURAMIS incorporates Medytox’s proprietary platform, ‘SHAPE™ Technology’. This technology is known to uniformly form the cross-linking structure of hyaluronic acid, improving the product’s viscoelasticity and shape retention. Furthermore, it is designed to minimize the potential for side effects from impurities by managing the residual amount of the cross-linking agent BDDE (1,4-Butanediol Diglycidyl Ether) below standard levels.

Raw Material Quality and Future Plans

Raw material quality control also meets international standards. NEURAMIS uses raw materials registered in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Drug Master Files (DMFs) and hyaluronic acid certified by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM), applying its own stricter quality control standards than the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur) to enhance raw material purity and safety.

With the launch of MAP, Medytox plans to expand various academic programs such as webinars, forums, and symposiums, developing it into a specialized education platform that shares not only product training but also the latest aesthetic medical technologies and clinical application cases.

As interest in aesthetic medicine has recently increased, the importance of medical technology equipped with safety and scientific evidence, beyond simply receiving procedures, is growing. Accordingly, systematic academic education for medical professionals and standardized procedural protocols are gaining attention as key factors contributing to safer medical service provision and improved procedure satisfaction.
