**Editor’s Note:** Huons Group is advancing its presence in China with the launch of its botulinum toxin product ‘Hutox’, following NMPA approval. A recent symposium in Hangzhou, held with local partner IMeik, introduced clinical applications to medical professionals.
Huons Group is accelerating its push into the Chinese market with its botulinum toxin product ‘Hutox’. After receiving product approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), the company held a launch symposium with its local partner to introduce product application cases and clinical experiences to medical professionals.
HuMeds and Huons BioPharma announced that they held an academic symposium in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, to celebrate the launch of the botulinum toxin ‘Hutox’.
The event was hosted by Chinese partner IMeik Technology, featuring product launch and clinical application cases of botulinum toxin for local medical professionals and industry stakeholders.
During the event, Dr. Kim Geon-woo, director of Cheongdam Cellinic Clinic, served as a speaker, presenting global trends in botulinum toxin market utilization and clinical application cases.
Hutox is a botulinum toxin formulation used for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, and it received product approval from China’s NMPA in January this year. Huons BioPharma signed an exclusive import and distribution agreement for China (including Hong Kong and Macau) with Chinese partner IMeik Technology in 2022.
China, along with the United States, is considered one of the world’s largest aesthetic medicine markets, and the botulinum toxin market is growing rapidly. Domestic companies are expanding their presence in China, employing strategies that combine academic marketing targeting medical professionals with distribution network development following approval.
Huons Group plans to expand its contact points with local medical professionals and enhance brand awareness through this symposium.
