Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Won-ki) is accelerating the development of the bio and medical device industry, centering on the Yonghyeon Industrial Complex.
Mayor Kim Won-ki attended the completion ceremony of the new factory (Building D) of CGMEDTECH Co., Ltd. in the Yonghyeon Industrial Complex on July 20, celebrating the company’s new leap forward and expressing his commitment to supporting the creation of a business-friendly city.
With the completion of CGMEDTECH’s new factory on July 20, the city has secured a production base for medical devices and clearly expressed its intention to leap forward as a future industrial city that grows together with businesses.
Mayor Kim Won-ki attended the completion ceremony of CGMEDTECH’s new factory (Building D) in the Yonghyeon Industrial Complex on the same day, celebrating the company’s new beginning and promising active administrative support to create a business-friendly city.
Approximately 100 people attended the completion ceremony, including CGMEDTECH CEO Yoo Hyun-seung, executives and employees, officials from related organizations, and businesspeople.

Founded in 1997, CGMEDTECH is a medical device specialist company that has grown based on the orthopedic implant sector.
Recently, it has expanded its business into dental implants, human tissue processing, and energy-based aesthetic medical devices (EBD), gaining recognition for its competitiveness in the global market.
The new factory is equipped with advanced production facilities and was built to significantly expand orthopedic implant production capacity.
The city expects that the operation of the new factory will increase annual production scale by 300% compared to the existing level.
Additionally, the city plans to utilize the existing production space as a dental implant production facility to enhance production efficiency and strengthen the foundation for entering the global market.
This completion goes beyond simple factory expansion and is linked to the transformation of Uijeongbu’s industrial structure.

Under its 9th popularly elected term, Uijeongbu City is fostering bio, AI, and advanced manufacturing as future growth engines and promoting business-friendly policies that support the growth of existing companies.
