**Editor’s Note:** The 43rd Symposium and General Assembly of Taiwan’s Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society convened yesterday in Taipei, drawing nearly a thousand physicians nationwide. This annual event underscores the society’s role as a key academic platform in the domestic medical aesthetics field.
Taiwan’s Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society held its major annual event, the “43rd Symposium and General Assembly,” which grandly opened yesterday (19th) in Taipei. The event attracted nearly a thousand physicians from across Taiwan, establishing itself as one of the representative academic exchange platforms in the domestic medical aesthetics field.
Chen Chun-Kuang, President of the Taiwan Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society, stated that due to the amendment of the “Regulations on the Implementation or Use of Specific Medical Technologies, Examinations, and Medical Instruments,” aesthetic physicians have expanded from the field of material science to medical expertise. Participating physicians can, through expert lectures and sharing, earn continuing education credits, integrate interdisciplinary professional knowledge, and revisit the evolution of aesthetic material science.
The Taiwan Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society stated that this year’s conference focuses on clinical application, safety management, and the latest aesthetic trends. Through keynote speeches, clinical case sharing, and cross-disciplinary exchanges, the event aims to help participating physicians grasp international directions in medical aesthetics development and continuously enhance clinical expertise and medical quality. The symposium invited multiple domestic medical aesthetics experts to share the latest clinical concepts and practical experiences. Topics covered include hyaluronic acid contour shaping, full-face botulinum toxin treatment, autologous micro-fat grafting, collagen stimulators, Profhilo bioremodelling, CaHA (Radiesse) combination therapy, as well as full-face anti-aging planning and skin quality management. Through case analysis and practical discussions, the conference helps physicians build more comprehensive diagnostic and treatment strategies.
Huang Yao-Lin, a board member of the Taiwan Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society, noted that the greatest value of this symposium lies in the extensive exchange of clinical cases and sharing of the latest treatment concepts, helping physicians implement new treatment strategies, safety management, and diagnostic thinking in clinical practice, thereby continuously improving medical quality and patient care.
President Chen Chun-Kuang emphasized that the Asian medical aesthetics market has grown rapidly in recent years, with cross-border medical treatment and medical aesthetics tourism gaining attention. However, Taiwan’s medical aesthetics sector has developed over many years, establishing a solid foundation in clinical experience, physician training, medical quality management, and patient safety, ranking among the world’s top teams. With the gradual implementation of the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s “Specific Medical Technology Regulations,” physician education, qualification certification, and continuing education systems have become more institutionalized, helping to enhance overall medical quality, safety management, and industry transparency, further strengthening the professional development of Taiwan’s medical aesthetics.
Board member Huang Yao-Lin also reminded that medical aesthetics is a medical procedure. When choosing treatments, the public should not only compare prices or trendy items but should also ensure that treatments are evaluated by qualified physicians, provided by legitimate medical institutions, and that physicians continuously receive professional education and training. Through thorough physician-patient communication and comprehensive evaluation, appropriate treatment plans can be designed under safe conditions.
The Taiwan Micro-Injection Aesthetic Medicine Society stated that it will continue to organize large-scale academic conferences, educational training, international exchanges, and clinical case sharing to help physicians grasp global trends in medical aesthetics development. It will actively collaborate with various specialty medical societies and related academic institutions to promote educational courses and professional training aligned with the spirit of the “Specific Medical Technology Regulations,” strengthening institutionalized education and continuing education. Through professional talent cultivation, medical quality improvement, and international cooperation, the society aims to continuously enhance Taiwan’s international visibility in medical aesthetics and steadily advance toward the goal of becoming a key medical aesthetics exchange platform in Asia.
