Wontech is accelerating its push into the Taiwanese medical aesthetics market. By securing local approval for the ‘Pastelle Pro’ laser medical device, which can be widely used for skin aesthetics and soft tissue procedures, the company plans to expand its product portfolio and intensify its attack on Taiwan’s growing aesthetic market.
Wontech announced on the 22nd that its laser medical device, Pastelle Pro, has obtained medical device certification from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA).
With this approval, Pastelle Pro can be used for non-invasive soft tissue procedures such as incision, excision, tissue removal, vaporization, coagulation, and hemostasis, as well as for a variety of indications including the treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions, tattoo removal, and hair removal.
According to the company, Pastelle Pro utilizes dual laser technology supporting two wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, allowing it to address various skin conditions and treatment objectives. Furthermore, through a dedicated handpiece, the irradiation diameter, penetration depth, and energy density can be finely adjusted, enabling medical professionals to perform precise treatments tailored to the patient’s condition.
As demand for non-surgical medical aesthetic procedures expands, the market for energy-based medical aesthetic devices, including lasers, radiofrequency (RF), and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), continues to show steady growth. Market research firm Frost & Sullivan forecasts that the Taiwanese medical aesthetic service market will reach approximately $2.4 billion in 2025, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.1% through 2030.
Wontech plans to leverage this certification to strengthen its product lineup in Taiwan, expand collaboration with local medical professionals, and increase its market share.
