Korea Kolmar’s subsidiary, cosmetic packaging manufacturer Yeonwoo, has regularized packaging trend seminars and quality guide sharing, expanding communication with client companies.
Yeonwoo announced on the 22nd that it held the ‘Yeonwoo Packaging Summit’ on the 21st at the Korea Kolmar Research Institute, sharing cosmetic packaging trends and global quality strategies.
The event was attended by approximately 200 people from 100 companies, including domestic and international cosmetic brands, ODM/OEM companies, and beauty B2B platforms.
The seminar was organized to respond to the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which takes effect next month, and to share packaging trends in the global cosmetics market.
PPWR is a packaging regulation that will apply to the 27 EU member states starting next month, focusing on designing packaging that is easy to recycle and expanding the use of recycled materials.
From 2030, regulations will be phased in, requiring packaging distributed in the EU to meet recyclability standards.
Presentations at the event covered topics such as 2026 beauty packaging trends, response strategies to PPWR implementation, and quality competitiveness targeting the global market.
The company plans to strengthen collaboration with Korea Kolmar to enhance synergy between design, formulation, and package development.
Yeonwoo possesses over 30 years of accumulated packaging technology and more than 6,600 product options, and holds approximately 800 intellectual property rights related to cosmetic packaging.
Based on its experience dealing with global beauty companies such as Chanel and L’Oréal, the company is strengthening relationships with major overseas brands while also expanding its customer base to include rapidly growing domestic and international indie brands.
In particular, the company is pursuing a strategy to absorb the global expansion needs of new brands by strengthening small-batch, multi-product production and rapid product development capabilities.
