**Editor’s Note:** Hugel showcased its botulinum toxin product, Letybo, at the Global Aesthetics Summit in India, targeting a market with vast growth potential due to its large population and rising middle class, yet low current treatment rates.
Hugel participated in the Global Aesthetics Summit (GAS) held from the 19th to the 21st at the Goa Taj Horizon in India, introducing its botulinum toxin product ‘Letybo’, the company announced on the 22nd.
India, with a population of approximately 1.5 billion—the world’s largest—and a rapidly growing middle class, has seen steadily increasing demand for aesthetic medical procedures. However, the botulinum toxin treatment rate remains low relative to the total population, positioning the market as one with high growth potential.
At the GAS conference, Hugel, together with its local distributor Aka Medical, focused on building brand awareness and establishing a KOL network. Benjamin Chan, an Australian KOL invited as a speaker, highlighted the product’s differentiation by introducing the predictable treatment outcomes achieved through Letybo’s ‘Narrow Diffusion’ technology.
Hugel plans to hold separate launch events and hands-on workshops with its local distributor until the 24th. The company also intends to continue expanding academic exchanges with KOLs and solidify its brand presence in the Indian market. This strategy aims to leverage India as a hub to expand into the Asia-Pacific region and further strengthen Letybo’s position in the global market.
Meanwhile, Hugel’s stock closed at 221,500 won on the same day, down 7,000 won (3.06%) from the previous day. The stock briefly rose to 233,500 won before closing at the low of 221,500 won.
