Hugel said it aims to capture a 9 percent share of India’s aesthetics market this year and accelerate the establishment of Letybo in the local market.
The company announced the launch during the Global Aesthetics Summit (GAS), held from July 19 to 21 at Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon in Goa, India.
India is considered a high-growth market for medical aesthetics, supported by its population of about 1.5 billion and a rapidly expanding middle class. Although demand for aesthetic treatments is steadily increasing, the penetration rate of botulinum toxin procedures remains relatively low compared with the country’s total population.
At GAS, Hugel worked with its local distributor, Aakaar Medical, to raise brand awareness and build a network of key opinion leaders.
Doctor Benjamin Chan, an Australian key opinion leader for Hugel who participated as a speaker, highlighted Letybo’s narrow diffusion characteristics, which he said could help physicians achieve more predictable treatment outcomes.
Hugel plans to hold a separate launch event and hands-on workshops with Aakaar Medical through July 24.
The company also plans to expand academic exchanges with local specialists and strengthen Letybo’s brand presence in India. Hugel said it intends to use India as a base for further expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.
