Targeting 9% Market Share in Indian Aesthetics Market

[SRT (SR Times) Reporter Choi Jin-wook] Hugel announced on the 21st that it participated in the ‘Global Aesthetics Summit (GAS)’ held at Taj Horizon in Goa, India, from the 19th to the 21st, confirming the official entry of its botulinum toxin ‘Letybo’ into the Indian market.

According to market research firm Grand View Research, the Indian beauty market recorded sales of $2.013 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $7.4181 billion by 2033. Additionally, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2025 to 2033 is estimated at 15.6%.

The company also evaluates India as a market with high growth potential, driven by a population of approximately 1.5 billion and rapidly increasing demand for aesthetic medical services, particularly among the middle class. Hugel plans to focus on early market stabilization this year, aiming to achieve a 9% market share in the Indian aesthetics market.

Accordingly, Hugel will sequentially conduct launch events and hands-on workshops with local distributors until the 24th, and plans to continuously expand academic exchanges with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance local brand awareness.

Furthermore, Hugel’s ultimate goal is to expand its business into the Asia-Pacific region using India as a base, and to further elevate Letybo’s position in the global market.

“India is a market with very high preference and interest in ‘K-Aesthetics’,” said Hugel CEO Jang Doo-hyun. “Based on the competitiveness of Hugel’s botulinum toxin, which has ranked first in the domestic market for 10 consecutive years, we will actively engage in marketing to expand in the Indian market and secure new global growth drivers.”
