Pharmaresearch (CEO Son Ji-hoon)’s flagship brand REJURAN is a polynucleotide (PN)-based medical device approved for improving facial wrinkles. It works by directly injecting PN into the dermal layer to improve the skin environment and help restore the skin’s natural healthy state.

Through this, it is used as a skin booster in professional medical institutions such as hospitals and clinics, leading to improved skin elasticity and texture, strengthening the skin barrier, and addressing a wide range of skin concerns from thin under-eye skin to scar improvement.
The brand name REJURAN originates from the English word ‘Rejuvenation’, meaning ‘to regain youth’. The product philosophy of ‘helping restore the skin’s natural healthy environment’ is embedded in the name, which goes beyond superficial external changes and aligns with the emerging Skin Longevity trend.
The core ingredient of REJURAN, PN, is composed of DNA polymers extracted from salmon testes. Salmon DNA has a base sequence very similar to human DNA, offering excellent biocompatibility, and is widely used to create an environment for tissue recovery. Pharmaresearch is known as the first company to research and commercialize salmon-derived PN and PDRN using domestic salmon.

Through its patented core technology, DOT (DNA Optimizing Technology), the company independently manages the entire process from raw material sourcing to extraction, purification, and manufacturing, precisely controlling the molecular weight and purity of DNA to produce high-quality raw materials. Launched in Korea in 2014, REJURAN presented a new paradigm that goes beyond conventional wrinkle-filling procedures, focusing on the skin’s natural health.
Based on over a decade of accumulated clinical data and extensive experience from medical professionals, it has established itself as a leading player in the medical aesthetics market. The recent surge in beauty products incorporating ‘Reju-‘ in their names or emphasizing PN/PDRN ingredients is evidence of REJURAN’s advanced brand recognition and market influence.
Pharmaresearch achieved record quarterly results in the first quarter of 2026, with consolidated revenue of KRW 146.1 billion and operating profit of KRW 57.3 billion. Medical device sales reached KRW 79.5 billion, a 14.5% increase year-on-year, driven by solid demand from hospitals and clinics for REJURAN and expanded exports. Medical device exports also reached KRW 21.1 billion, mainly in the European market, rapidly expanding its global influence.

REJURAN offers a lineup of four products for customized selection based on skin thickness and treatment area:
– ‘REJURAN’ for overall facial use to improve adult facial wrinkles
– ‘REJURAN i’ specialized for thin skin areas like the under-eye
– ‘REJURAN s’ suitable for improving wrinkles and scars
– ‘REJURAN HB Plus’ which temporarily improves adult crow’s feet fine lines, adding hyaluronic acid (HA) and the local anesthetic lidocaine to the PN component to reduce procedure pain and enhance moisturizing effects
Currently, REJURAN has obtained product approvals in over 50 countries and is expanding its reach into Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Pharmaresearch is further enhancing its medical aesthetics brand competitiveness through global academic activities and medical professional training programs.
