**Editor’s Note:** SHINBI METHOD is elevating its clinical-inspired skincare line with the launch of a serum and eye cream featuring Caregen’s medical-grade “Botopep.” The products, set for staggered release from late August through October, underscore the brand’s commitment to evidence-based formulations and global growth.
Clinical-inspired skincare brand SHINBI METHOD will launch this fall a serum (30mL, ¥2,750) and an eye cream (15g, ¥2,970) formulated with medical-grade “Botopep” developed by Korean peptide manufacturer Caregen. The serum will be released exclusively on EC on August 28, while the eye cream will hit drug and variety stores on October 1. Aiming for global expansion, the brand is strengthening its lineup with evidence-based functional ingredients to enhance brand value.
The key ingredient “Botopep” focuses on signal transmission related to skin firmness and elasticity. It is a “next-generation peptide complex” adopted for the first time in Japan as a cosmetic raw material. The serum “Derma Serum” is a firming serum with a non-sticky texture. It contains 1.5% caffeine, which is also noted in clinics, and 5% Botopep, targeting facial puffiness and loose contours. It is recommended as a pre-makeup skincare step.

The “Derma Eye Cream” provides intensive care for the eye area, which is prone to showing signs of aging such as fine lines from dryness and dullness. It contains porphyrin, which promotes the differentiation and proliferation of fat cells, and fermented hyaluronic acid. Its rich texture adheres closely to the eye area, leading to a plump impression.
According to Atsushi Takeoka, Director of R&D at Cell Lab, product development incorporating medical concepts is accelerating in the global skincare market. While research focusing on aging mechanisms such as mitochondria, exosomes, and autophagy is advancing, there is a global trend toward “multi-functionalization” that addresses multiple skin concerns simultaneously, rather than single issues like wrinkles or firmness.

With the tagline “Clinical-inspired, update your facial impression,” the brand will strengthen layering proposals combining existing products. The EC-exclusive “Derma Serum” will aim to expand awareness through live streaming and other channels. While eyeing in-store distribution next spring, the brand will first focus on acquiring fans through EC.
