【Osaka, Japan】RX Japan Brings Beauty Supply Chain Together in Osaka

Editor’s Note

**Editor’s Note:** This article highlights the upcoming COSME Week Osaka 2026, a comprehensive trade show covering the full beauty industry supply chain—from raw materials to finished products. The event, organized by RX Japan, will take place at Intex Osaka from September 30 to October 2.

Integrated Exhibition from Raw Materials to Finished Products

A specialized exhibition showcasing the entire beauty industry supply chain—from cosmetic raw materials and manufacturing technology to packaging, finished products, and wellness items—will be held in Osaka, Japan. RX Japan announced on the 28th that it will host ‘COSME Week Osaka 2026’ from September 30 to October 2 at Intex Osaka.
The event comprises ‘COSME OSAKA,’ featuring finished cosmetics and personal care products, and ‘COSME Tech OSAKA,’ covering raw materials, OEM/ODM, formulation technology, and packaging solutions.
A key feature is the co-location of major beauty industry sectors—from product planning to production and distribution—enabling buyers, brands, and manufacturers to discover new business partners and collaborators.
Attendees can directly inspect raw materials, packaging, and finished products on-site and engage in face-to-face consultations with company representatives. The exhibition also serves as an information exchange hub to understand consumer trends and product development directions in the Japanese cosmetics market.

New Special Zones: Sustainability and Wellness

This year’s exhibition introduces new special zones centered on sustainability and wellness.
‘COSME Tech OSAKA’ will feature a ‘Petrochemical-Free Solution Zone’ showcasing alternative materials that reduce reliance on petroleum-based ingredients and next-generation raw material technologies. This is expected to attract significant interest from cosmetics companies and manufacturers seeking eco-friendly materials.
‘COSME OSAKA’ will host a ‘Wellness & Beauty Fair’ introducing products that combine health and beauty. This space reflects the evolving beauty consumption trend that goes beyond external appearance to consider physical health and lifestyle habits.

Osaka as a Gateway to Western Japan Business

Osaka, the venue, is a major commercial hub in Western Japan. According to the organizer, the event attracts many regional manufacturers and brands that are less frequently seen at Tokyo-centric exhibitions, offering international buyers an opportunity to understand product characteristics and consumer preferences across different Japanese regions.
According to RX Japan, last year’s event featured 205 companies from 9 countries/regions and attracted 8,129 visitors from 36 countries/regions.
This year, the exhibition aims to further strengthen business connections for product sourcing, manufacturing collaboration, and overseas market entry by expanding new special zones and consultation opportunities between participating companies.

Opportunities for Distributors and Overseas Brands

In particular, it is expected to be a valuable opportunity for distributors seeking unique products and overseas brands considering entry into the Japanese market to directly connect with local manufacturers. Companies with manufacturing capabilities can also explore export and co-development possibilities through collaboration with international buyers.

“Companies looking for next-generation beauty products and reliable manufacturing partners will be able to identify new market opportunities in Osaka,” explained the COSME Week exhibition secretariat.
