Imine marks its 20th anniversary with a strategic shift to become a global skincare ODM leader, unveiling a ‘Next 20 Years’ vision focused on connecting people and technology to shape the future of the industry.
Imine (CEO Kim Joo-won, Park Jung-wan), a specialized cosmetics ODM company, declared a new leap forward as a global skincare ODM company on July 25, marking its 20th anniversary. Alongside this, based on the technology and trust accumulated over the past 20 years, the company unveiled its ‘Next 20 Years’ vision to connect people and technology and design a new future for global skincare ODM.
Imine’s ‘Next 20 Years’ plan involves significantly expanding total production capacity by more than double, and based on this, accelerating its penetration into overseas markets such as the US, Europe, and Japan, aiming to establish itself as a true leader in skincare ODM in the global market over the next 20 years.
To this end, Imine plans to complete the construction of its second factory, currently under construction, by 2027. It will more than double its total production lines from the current 40 to over 90, and expand its basic skincare production lines to seven times the current level. Consequently, its annual production capacity (CAPA) will be more than doubled from approximately 250 million units to 500 million units.
Imine is also actively targeting overseas markets, collaborating with over 240 client companies in more than 100 countries worldwide, including numerous global luxury brands. Based on these achievements, the company has continued its steep sales growth over the past five years.
After recording sales of KRW 67.4 billion in 2022 and KRW 86.3 billion in 2023, Imine achieved sales of KRW 121.7 billion in 2024, surpassing KRW 100 billion in annual sales for the first time in its history. In 2025, it recorded its highest-ever annual sales of KRW 148.2 billion, and in the first quarter of 2026, it posted sales of KRW 40.9 billion, continuing its record-breaking streak.
Founded in 2006, Imine is a first-generation ODM company that began full-scale production of sheet masks in Korea. At the time of its founding, sheet masks were unfamiliar in the domestic market, and Imine laid the foundation for the domestic mask pack ODM industry by introducing them. Subsequently, alongside the growth of K-beauty, the company has expanded its business scope to include hydrogels and basic skincare.
Since receiving investment from IMM Investment in 2018 and embarking on full-scale management innovation, Imine has maintained a co-management system led by founder and Vice Chairman Kim Joo-won and CEO Park Jung-wan. Vice Chairman Kim focuses on technology, R&D, and material innovation to enhance quality competitiveness, while CEO Park has been responsible for implementing growth strategies through significant expansion in management, finance, marketing, and customer base. This co-management system, combining the founder’s technical philosophy with the capabilities of professional management, has been a driving force for Imine to stably improve its business structure and build a growth foundation.
Imine currently operates five dedicated research organizations and holds 24 own patents, 150 design patents, and over 5,000 proprietary formulations. It has also expanded its product portfolio to include hydrogels, skin pads, sun care, and basic skincare, developing various functional skincare formulations and providing customized ODM solutions for clients.
In particular, in the hydrogel and basic skincare sectors, Imine has enhanced manufacturing efficiency and cost competitiveness by securing a stable production yield of over 50% on average, based on its own patented technologies, formulation know-how, and one-stop automated processes. It has also built the most extensive hydrogel product lineup in Korea.
Sustainable management is another pillar supporting its future growth strategy. Based on the environmental management system ISO 14001, the company operates an eco-friendly management system across all its business sites and continuously pursues carbon reduction and resource circulation activities. Based on this, Imine has received a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, a global sustainability rating agency, and has been recognized for its technological prowess and sustainable management capabilities, including receiving awards from the government and related organizations at the 2026 Korea Small and Medium Enterprise Conference.
