The event, co-located with the 8th China Western International Investment and Trade Fair, aimed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Gyeonggi expand into western China’s market.

Western Chinese buyers showed strong interest in Korean products, citing superior technology and finished-product quality. Key deal: Exclusive distribution rights for beauty devices

Carecle Co., a beauty device manufacturer based in Goyang, held talks with a major Chongqing-based distributor of aesthetic and medical equipment that supplies local hospitals and clinics. Impressed by the technology of Korean skincare devices, the buyer sought exclusive distribution rights for the Chinese market. The two companies are negotiating a $414,000 exclusive contract, one of 27 deals totaling $11.82 million initiated at the event.

Western China’s growing appetite for K-beauty and medical aesthetics devices presents a strategic entry point for distributors and clinic buyers. The region’s buyers prioritize advanced technology and reliable OEM/ODM partners. For importers, establishing exclusive distribution agreements with Korean manufacturers could secure competitive advantages in this expanding market.

Regulatory and channel signals

Gyeonggi Province’s international cooperation bureau emphasized that the high interest in K-brands at the fair is boosting SME exports. Park Geun-gyun, director of the bureau, stated: “The strong interest in K-brands confirmed at the consultation site is greatly supporting the exports of our SMEs. We will continue to strengthen multifaceted support so that Gyeonggi companies can achieve tangible results in the global market.” This underscores official backing for cross-border trade in aesthetic devices and consumables.
