Editor's note

This report highlights Classis's strategic shift to direct sales in Brazil, a key sourcing signal for investors tracking market expansion. The event's buyer relevance is underscored by over 600 medical professionals attending, while the regulatory question remains on how localized strategies will navigate Brazil's medical device rules. Supply-chain risk is minimal, given the established distribution via JL Health.

Classis announced on May 26 that it held its first customer event since transitioning to a direct sales model in Brazil, aiming to accelerate its penetration of the South American market. The company acquired JL Health, Brazil's largest medical aesthetics device distribution group, in March, converting its Brazil operations to a direct sales system. This move is part of Classis' strategy to strengthen market dominance in Brazil and South America, which are among the world's largest medical aesthetics markets.

According to Classis, the symposium 'Masterminds 2026' held on May 23 in São Paulo, Brazil, attracted over 600 medical professionals from hospitals and clinics across South America. More than 30 leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons from the region participated as speakers and panelists, sharing the latest clinical results, treatment techniques, and market trends centered on Classis' flagship devices, 'Volnewmer' and 'Ultraformer' (the overseas name for Shurink).

Brazil is considered a key global market with rapidly growing demand for medical aesthetics and treatment procedures. Classis has expanded its presence in Brazil, with cumulative sales of over 3,000 units of the Ultraformer series. The Volnewmer, launched last year, is also experiencing strong growth.

At the event, held just two months after the direct sales transition, clinical experiences and market evaluations from South American medical professionals were shared. Dr. Fabio Real, a Brazilian dermatologist, commented, 'Unlike conventional gas-cooling RF devices, Volnewmer uses continuous water-cooling technology to deliver more stable and uniform energy, resulting in higher patient satisfaction.'

A Classis representative stated, 'With the direct sales transition in Brazil in 2026, we will strengthen aggressive sales and marketing investments and localized strategies to expand our market share in Brazil. Using Brazil as a bridgehead, we aim to become the overwhelming No. 1 company in the entire South American medical aesthetics market.'
