Atium is accelerating its push into the Southeast Asian healthcare and medical beauty market. The company announced on the 28th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Combiphar, a leading Indonesian healthcare enterprise.
Combiphar is a prominent pharmaceutical and healthcare company in Indonesia, with strong local competitiveness in drug production, sales, and distribution.
Through this agreement, the two companies will leverage their respective expertise and networks to gradually expand cooperation in areas including: clinic operations in Indonesia, distribution of skincare, beauty, and healthcare products, exchange of local market and business environment information, and other potential collaboration fields.
In particular, the partners plan to explore new business models and expand distribution channels in the Southeast Asian market by combining Combiphar's local network with K-medical and beauty content.
Atium is pursuing global business expansion based on its brand competitiveness in K-medical beauty and healthcare, and intends to use this agreement to formally target the ASEAN market.
"Through this partnership with Combiphar, which has strong local networks and expertise in Indonesia, we have laid the foundation to explore various business opportunities in the Southeast Asian market," said Seo Woong-seop, head of Atium Singapore HQ. "We expect to create synergies across multiple fields by combining the strengths of both companies."
Meanwhile, Atium continues to expand into the global medical beauty market. Last month, it partnered with Trust Gulf and KOLAO Group to enter the UAE and Laos respectively, aiming to expand into the Middle East and Indochina Peninsula markets.
