Jeisys Medical (Jeisys Medical) has obtained halal certification from the Indonesian Halal Authority (BPJPH) for its hyaluronic acid (HA) filler product line, marking a key step in expanding its global footprint.
The certification is the second instance of a domestically approved HA filler (by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) receiving such recognition, underscoring the company’s R&D capabilities and manufacturing quality.
BPJPH, a government agency under Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, requires strict compliance across raw materials, production processes, and quality management systems. The certification formally validates the purity and safety of Jeisys Medical’s products.
The certified products include the company’s flagship filler brand e.p.t.q. and other HA fillers. Jeisys Medical plans to leverage this certification to target the Indonesian market and the broader global Muslim consumer base.
HA fillers are Class IV high-risk medical devices injected into the body, demanding rigorous safety, efficacy, and manufacturing controls. Halal certification adds further complexity, requiring compliance across raw materials, manufacturing, excipients, and packaging.
Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, considers halal certification a prerequisite for market access. Industry observers expect this certification to boost Jeisys Medical’s expansion in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
A company representative stated: “Obtaining this halal certification is significant as it internationally recognizes the quality and safety of our products. We will continue to pursue key country certifications and strengthen quality competitiveness to drive global market expansion.”
