Editor's note

This report, sourced from Jung Da-eun at etnews.com, signals a strategic supply-chain shift as Amorepacific leverages Amazon's curated 'Premium Beauty' channel to bypass traditional retail. For buyers, this direct-to-consumer model raises questions about distribution exclusivity and potential pricing conflicts with existing North American partners.

Amorepacific announced on May 8 that its skincare brand Mamonde has officially launched on Amazon to target the North American market.

Mamonde will be featured in Amazon's 'Premium Beauty' category, a curated space where Amazon selects and directly manages high-end beauty brands. This category is recognized as a premier premium beauty destination, showcasing brand competitiveness.

Targeting Gen Z and the Alpha generation (born from the mid-1990s to the 2010s), who value convenience and rapid skin improvements, Mamonde aims to capture the North American market with high-efficacy skincare products at reasonable price points.

For its Amazon Premium Beauty launch, Mamonde will introduce three product lines: 'Flora Glow' for skin radiance, featuring the flagship 'Flora Glow Rose Liquid Mask'; 'Calming Shot Azulene' for soothing and cooling, including the 'Calming Shot Azulene Trace Moisture Ampoule'; and 'Probiotics Ceramide' focused on hydration and skin barrier improvement.
