Editor's note

This report highlights Pharma Robotics' IR win, a strong sourcing signal from the company's April 28 announcement. For buyers, the automated injectable robot addresses hospital safety and error reduction. A key regulatory question is compliance with injectable preparation guidelines via HEPA-filtered laminar flow. Supply-chain risk is mitigated by new production facilities in Jeonju.

Pharma Robotics, an AI-based pharmaceutical preparation robot specialist, has won the top prize at the Seoul Startup Hub public IR pitching competition with its automated injectable preparation robot.

The company announced on April 28 that it received the highest evaluation at the open IR pitching event held at the Seoul Startup Hub Scale-Up Center. The event was organized to support outstanding Seoul-based startups in attracting private investment, with 10 companies from the Seoul Startup Hub's Gongdeok, Seongsu, and Dongjak support centers participating in face-to-face evaluations by a panel of VC judges from the Scale-Up Center partners.

As the winner, Pharma Robotics secured a spot in the final pitching round of 'Try Everything 2026,' scheduled for September 9-10.

The automated injectable preparation robot showcased by Pharma Robotics at this IR is an intelligent robotic platform that combines precision actuator control technology with the company's proprietary injectable preparation algorithm. The platform is designed to integrate drug recognition and preparation processes with hospital electronic prescriptions, aiming to perform one-stop, error-free operations.

Earlier, in February, Pharma Robotics successfully completed the development of the first-generation prototype of the automated injectable preparation robot. A key feature is the application of a laminar flow design using HEPA filters in compliance with injectable preparation guidelines, ensuring practical safety for hospital adoption.

The company is currently accelerating follow-up steps to enhance technology and field applicability. In July-August, it plans to conduct large-scale usability evaluations with actual users, including nursing staff and pharmacists at major university hospitals in South Korea. Through this, the company aims to incorporate clinical feedback and finalize the optimization of the product's UI and UX.

"This win at the Seoul Startup Hub IR is a recognition of Pharma Robotics' technological value and our sincerity in solving problems in the medical field," said Yoo Je-cheong, CEO of Pharma Robotics. "Beyond mere numerical achievements, our ultimate goal is to protect medical staff from hazardous environments and dramatically reduce preparation errors to contribute to patient safety."

Meanwhile, Pharma Robotics is preparing its mass production system by establishing new production facilities and expanding research space in Jeonju. The company expects to use this win as a springboard to aggressively target domestic and international hospital markets.
