Humedix and Huons Meditech, both affiliates of Huons Group, have signed a strategic partnership with V&Co to expand their presence in AI-powered skin diagnostics and aesthetic medicine. The companies announced on Tuesday that they have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on data-driven aesthetic dermatology solutions by combining their technologies and business networks.
At the core of the partnership is SKENA, V&Co’s AI-based skin diagnostic device. The system integrates ultrasound technology with contact-based measurements to analyze skin conditions, including collagen density and dermal layer balance, aiming to support personalized consultations and treatment planning.
Humedix and Huons Meditech stated that SKENA could help partner clinics improve patient consultations by providing objective skin analysis data. The companies also plan joint marketing activities, such as webinars, academic programs, and outreach to medical professionals. They aim to expand SKENA’s presence in both domestic and overseas markets by leveraging Humedix’s market network and Huons Meditech’s global business infrastructure.
Additionally, the companies plan to collaborate on technologies like personalized treatment recommendation algorithms using skin diagnostic data collected through SKENA.
“This partnership is meaningful because it creates new business opportunities by connecting skin diagnosis with aesthetic solutions,” said Kang Min-jong, CEO of Humedix.
Huons Meditech CEO Ha Chang-woo noted that the company aims to introduce SKENA to global markets through this collaboration, while V&Co CEO Choi Won-seok commented that AI-based diagnostics could help shift the aesthetics industry toward more data-driven decision-making.
