Eternal Group, a major medical aesthetics chain in Taiwan, is embroiled in a series of scandals involving its chairman, Chang Ju-shan. In early 2026, Chang was accused of attempted sexual assault by a socialite, leading to a court case and travel restrictions. Recently, a female customer discovered a hidden camera at one of Eternal's clinics in Banqiao, New Taipei City, prompting a police investigation. Authorities have since searched multiple clinics, arrested a surveillance equipment supplier, and detained Chang along with his assistant and the supplier. The company's general manager, Liu Zhen-hua, was released on bail. The scandals have raised concerns about the stability of Eternal's business empire, which includes 76 companies in medical aesthetics, nursing, dentistry, and biotechnology. Chang, known for his philanthropic work and anti-fraud campaigns, has a history of close ties with political and police figures.
