Editor's note

This report relies on ITV News' investigation and Alysha's firsthand account to expose an unregulated network still operating from residential flats. Buyers should beware of cheap cosmetic procedures offered outside clinical settings, as the regulatory gap and lack of medical registration pose serious safety risks.

An unregulated cosmetic business previously investigated by ITV News is still operating from residential properties, according to a new report. The investigation, published on May 28, 2026, details the case of Alysha, a 27-year-old from Wales, who required reconstructive surgery after two botched procedures linked to the same network. In 2024, ITV News exposed Luxury Medical Aesthetics, a company offering one-day liposuction training to individuals without medical backgrounds. While the business appeared to shut down—with online listings showing it as permanently closed and Companies House records listing it as dissolved—the new report found evidence that procedures linked to the same network continue, now from residential flats. Alysha booked a labiaplasty with London Medical Aesthetics, which shares branding with Luxury MA, after seeing positive reviews on social media. The procedure was performed by a woman known as Miss Cindy, also called Luyen Vu or "The Liverpool Lady." Alysha said she arrived at an apartment block, not a salon, and that the practitioner used scissors without measuring or drawing guidelines.

After a traumatic experience, Alysha booked a mini facelift directly with Miss Cindy in Liverpool. The facelift became infected, and Alysha eventually traveled to Turkey for reconstructive surgery, where a doctor reopened the wound, removed stitches, and cleared the infection. ITV News found no record of Miss Cindy/Luyen Vu being registered with the General Medical Council. Neither Luyen Vu nor Luxury Medical Aesthetics responded to requests for comment.

Consultant plastic surgeon Dr. Dan Marsh commented: "Anybody carrying out surgery in a flat, in a non-clinical environment, shows they don’t know what they’re doing. You shouldn’t be allowed to carry out surgery on a person unless you’re appropriately trained." Alysha warned others: "There’s a reason these procedures are so cheap. Nothing is worth having scars across your face for the rest of your life."
