Aekyung Industrial announced on May 29 that it is expanding its presence in the US offline color cosmetics market through its skin-first makeup brand AGE20'S and professional makeup brand LUNA. The two brands entered the Olive Young store in Pasadena, California, a key commercial area, on May 29, marking the start of broader offline retail expansion in the US.
The Pasadena location will carry 53 SKUs from AGE20'S and 23 SKUs from LUNA, focusing on base makeup products tailored to diverse skin tones and makeup needs.
AGE20'S has developed 20 shades for its flagship product, 'Signature Essence Pact Intense Cover,' considering the skin tones of US consumers. The brand also offers US-exclusive mini sizes and OTC Drug (Over-The-Counter Drug) certified products, such as 'UV Defense Hydro Calming Sunscreen.' The 'Signature Essence Pact Intense Cover' is a global steady seller that embodies AGE20'S 'skin-first makeup' philosophy, combining makeup and skincare for a natural glow and moist finish. AGE20'S plans to broaden base makeup choices in the US through its expanded shade range.
LUNA operates 20 shades centered on its global bestseller 'Long Lasting Tip Concealer,' known for high coverage and natural adhesion, offering precise coverage makeup for various skin tones.
An Aekyung Industrial official stated, "The US is a key global beauty market where diverse skin tones and makeup needs coexist, so we focused on product composition and color diversification reflecting local consumer characteristics. We will continue to strengthen our brand presence in the global market based on the differentiated base makeup competitiveness of AGE20'S and LUNA."
Meanwhile, AGE20'S recently accelerated its domestic and international online and offline touchpoint expansion, including operating a moving pop-up in Hongdae to commemorate its entry into Olive Young stores in Korea.
