Marc Jacobs is relaunching its eponymous beauty line through a new partnership with US beauty giant Coty.
The Marc Jacobs Beauty relaunch will cover eyes, complexion, and lips, and will include hero products such as Drawn This Way Longwear Eyeliner, Born Star Eyeshadow, Heart On Lipstick, Joystick Blush Stick, Flashes Mascara, Legally Bronze Bronzer, and Money Shot Highlighter Gel.
Each formula is designed to be layered and blended, with long-lasting wear that takes the wearer "from day to night." The line's custom metallic packaging was designed by Jacobs himself and features his signature charms: the daisy, star, and heart.
According to a statement from the New York-based brand on Wednesday, the new color cosmetics collection is positioned as "a rebellious counterpoint to clean minimalism and essential aesthetics" in makeup.
"I think of beauty the way I think of fashion: it's a realm of creativity and self-expression," said Jacobs. "Marc Jacobs Beauty represents joy and is a celebration of how we can use makeup to express ourselves through color, texture, and form."
Marc Jacobs Beauty launched its first collection with Kendo Brands in 2013, then closed in 2021. The relaunch of the brand's beauty line is timely. Last week, LVMH announced the sale of Marc Jacobs to WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group for an estimated $925 million. Under the agreement, Jacobs will continue as creative director of the brand he founded in 1984.
"Marc Jacobs Beauty is one of the most anticipated relaunches in prestige beauty, and Sephora is proud to partner to bring it back to consumers around the world," said Priya Venkatesh, global chief merchandising officer of Sephora, the exclusive retailer for the launch.
"At the intersection of fashion, creativity, and pop culture, the brand is uniquely positioned to resonate with Sephora's highly engaged beauty community, both among loyal fans and a new generation of consumers. Originally born at Sephora, Marc Jacobs Beauty created some of the industry's most iconic products, and we expect this new era to inspire the same level of passion and fandom. Together with Coty, we look forward to reigniting excitement for Marc Jacobs Beauty, driving discovery at scale, and supporting the brand's next chapter of long-term global growth."
Marc Jacobs Beauty will be priced between $26 and $42 in the US and will debut in the country on May 28 on the brand's online store and, on May 31, exclusively on the Sephora app. It will be available on Sephora's online store from June 1.
