On May 19, 2026, police in Phu Giao Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, announced they are gathering evidence to prosecute the owner of Bee Hin Beauty Salon (located in Hamlet 7, Phu Giao Commune) for allegedly performing invasive aesthetic procedures without meeting required professional standards.
According to local police, on May 17, the unit coordinated with the Department of Culture and Social Affairs and the communal health station to conduct a surprise inspection of Bee Hin Beauty Salon, owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi D., as part of the 2026 inspection plan for medical, pharmaceutical, and beauty establishments.
During the inspection, the establishment owner presented a business registration certificate but lacked a license to provide medical examination and treatment services, as well as required professional practice certificates. Authorities discovered the facility had set up rooms for cosmetic surgery and possessed numerous tools and equipment for invasive procedures, including scalpels, syringes, injectable anesthetics, dermal fillers, antiseptics, and other equipment.
Additionally, the establishment had created a Facebook page and Fanpage to advertise invasive cosmetic services such as filler injections, eyelid surgery, double eyelid surgery, lip surgery, and dimple creation. These specialized techniques are only permitted to be performed by doctors with appropriate specialties in legally compliant facilities.
Cooperating with authorities, Ms. Nguyen Thi D. admitted to directly performing these services without the supervision of a qualified doctor, posing potential risks of complications and endangering clients' health and lives.
Authorities also noted that the establishment generated hazardous medical waste, such as sharp needles and blood-stained bandages, which were not collected or treated according to regulations, posing potential risks of environmental pollution and disease transmission.
Phu Giao Commune police are now calling for anyone who has undergone invasive aesthetic procedures at Bee Hin Beauty Clinic to come forward and provide reports to assist in verification and handling of the case.
In the coming period, police forces will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen inspections and crack down on beauty salons and spas operating without permits, exceeding their scope, or providing illegal beauty services, in order to protect public health and rights.
