This report, sourced from a police inspection, highlights a critical buyer relevance and regulatory question: clients received invasive procedures from an unlicensed operator, risking severe health complications. The case underscores supply-chain risks from unregulated fillers and equipment, and weak enforcement of medical practice laws in beauty salons.

Authorities in Phu Giao commune, Ho Chi Minh City, have uncovered a serious case of illegal medical practice at Bee Hin Beauty Salon. During a surprise inspection on May 17, police found that the owner, Nguyen Thi D., had set up a separate operating room and was directly performing invasive procedures—including filler injections, eyelid surgery, double eyelid surgery, lip surgery, and dimple creation—despite lacking any medical license or certification.

The salon, located at No. 248, Group 3, Doc Lap Street, Hamlet 7, could only present a business registration certificate. It had no license to operate a medical examination and treatment service, and the owner held no legal medical practice credentials. Seized items included scalpels, syringes, injectable anesthetics, fillers, antiseptics, and a wide range of specialized medical equipment.

During the inspection, Nguyen Thi D. admitted she had no medical training but still directly handled surgical instruments and performed injections on clients, ignoring the risk of life-threatening complications. The facility also violated environmental regulations by improperly disposing of hazardous medical waste—such as sharps and blood-soaked bandages—posing a serious risk of pollution and disease spread.

Police have consolidated the case file for prosecution. They are now calling on all clients who received invasive procedures at Bee Hin Beauty Salon to come forward to the Phu Giao commune police station to report their experiences and assist with the investigation. Authorities stated they will continue to coordinate with relevant departments to strengthen inspections and take strict action against unlicensed beauty establishments that operate beyond their scope, in order to protect public health and legal rights.
