KorinMi, a Gurugram-based Korean beauty and skincare startup, has secured ₹10 crore (about $1.2 million) from Lotus Herbals' innovation fund to accelerate its clinic expansion and direct-to-consumer (D2C) product business across India. For overseas aesthetic device and skincare OEM suppliers, this signals growing demand for Korean-origin equipment, formulations, and treatment protocols in India's premium beauty market.

Funding and strategic context

The investment comes from Lotus Herbals' $50 million innovation fund, which targets early-stage beauty and wellness startups in India. This is the fund's third deployment since its launch in June 2024. The move reflects Lotus Herbals' strategy to diversify into emerging beauty segments, including K-beauty clinics and D2C skincare, where it currently does not operate.

Clinic network and expansion plans

KorinMi currently operates three clinics in Gurugram, each staffed with at least two doctors and a network of dermatologists plus six to seven trained therapists. The startup plans to use the new capital to open clinics in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, targeting India's fast-growing premium skincare and aesthetic treatment sector. The company has served over 3,000 clients since its first clinic opened in October 2024.

Sourcing and product strategy

KorinMi's D2C skincare products are manufactured in South Korea and formulated specifically for Indian skin types and climatic conditions. The clinics use advanced Korean equipment and skincare technologies sourced directly from South Korea. Co-founder and COO Jenovia Daun Jung, a South Korean national with extensive K-beauty industry experience, oversees treatment protocols to ensure authenticity.
